Welcome to Sapphire Moon Farm, home to a small herd of ADGA Registered Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats.
We are located in Pleasant Hill, Oregon - a small town in the Willamette Valley just outside of Eugene/Springfield. My goats are super-friendly pets that also help out with landscaping & provide me with delicious creamy milk.
Nigerians produce a lot of milk for their size - many of my does produce a half gallon a day. Nigerian Dwarf milk has high butterfat content so it is great for cheese, ice cream, and yogurt in addition to drinking.
I enjoy showing my herd & try to attend a couple ADGA shows each year. I hope to participate in Linear Appraisal in the future. I also plan to make goat milk soaps in the future with my excess milk.
I usually breed 2 or 3 goats per year so I will have a steady supply of milk, which means I will also have a few really friendly goat kids looking for new homes in the spring & summer months each year.
